Prof. Dr. Semih Bağhaki graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2003. Between 2004 and 2010, he completed his specialization in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery at the same university, earning the title of Specialist Doctor. During his specialization training, he worked on head and neck surgery and advanced microsurgery at Providence Hospital, fat injection and stem cell applications at Tribeca Plastic Surgery, and microsurgery of the hand and upper extremities at the University of Cologne. From 2010 to 2012, he fulfilled his mandatory state service at Haseki Training and Research Hospital.

From 2012 to 2018, he served as a plastic surgery specialist at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, and between 2016 and 2018, he held the position of Deputy Chief Physician. In 2018, Dr. Semih Bağhaki was awarded the title of Associate Professor and continued his work at the same faculty until 2022. In 2022, he joined the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at Koç University School of Medicine as a faculty member and was promoted to Professor in 2024.

Prof. Dr. Semih Bağhaki specializes in facial, head and neck aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, breast aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, microsurgical tissue transfers, melanoma surgery, stem cell applications, robotic plastic surgery, and pediatric plastic surgery. He has contributed to international publications and studies in the fields of Regenerative Plastic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery.
